Luumen allows you to bulk add multiple hosts by choosing Upload inventory file. This allows you to import your host list from a CSV containing host and connection details.
Import Multiple Hosts
Open Hosts and click Import, or choose Upload inventory file on an empty workspace.
Download the CSV template. Drop the file in. Luumen parses and validates it. A file with more than 5,000 rows is refused, you will need to split your list into parts. A file with no recognizable address column gets No hosts found and lists the columns it did see.
Review import: Here you can review that every row shows its address, display name, port, connection type, and credential. Rows with a problem are flagged with the reason.
You can select multiple rows and use the bar at the bottom to fix them in bulk. Set Credential, Set Connection, or Delete. You can also edit a cell directly.
Click Import.
What is Checked
Each row is validated top to bottom against the rows above it and against your existing hosts. A flagged row is left out of the import until you fix or remove it. The checks are:
Missing hostname. At least an address is required.
Port given twice. The address carries one port and the port column another.
Duplicates. The same address and port appear earlier in the file. The first occurrence imports and the later one is flagged.
Already in your hosts. The same address and port already exist in the workspace. Nothing is merged or overwritten, so re-uploading a file never creates second copies.
Invalid port. Outside 1 to 65535, or a WinRM row on any port other than 5985 or 5986.
Display name too long, or a blank display name on a hostname longer than 120 characters.
Credential protocol mismatch. An SSH credential on a WinRM row or the reverse. Pick a matching credential or clear it.
Address comparison ignores case and strips any user@ or scheme prefix, so Admin@WEB01 and web01 are the same host.
After Successfully Importing Hosts
A confirmation reports how many hosts were imported and how many rows were skipped. Skipped rows stay listed so you can fix them and import again. If some rows fail to save, the review returns holding only those rows; the rest are already stored.
If you change a row's connection type during review, Luumen clears any credential for the other protocol and tells you how many hosts now need a credential of their own. Check each host has the right credential before connecting.
The Host CSV File Format
The template you can download from the upload screen, hosts-template.csv, has this header row:

Headers are matched without regard to case. If two aliases for the same column appear in one file, the first wins. The template ships with one blank row so a spreadsheet has a cell to type into and blank lines are ignored on import.
Note: Never put passwords or private keys in the file. The credential column is a name, not a secret. Names are matched ignoring case and extra spaces. If a name matches nothing, or matches more than one credential, the host imports with no credential and the review screen tells you how many rows are affected, so you can set them during review.
